Cathryn has spoken

October 5th, 2009

It has been a while since I have updated this blog - sorry about that. I have been very busy on The Climate Mystery. And we've had a break through: one of the missing persons have contacted us. This is what she wrote:

"Axel: We've been running and running and I'm cold and SO tired. It's so great to hear from you. You have no idea HOW great it is. I am writing this sitting under a steel staircase. Adam and Josh are looking out for the guards. Liza is sleeping. I'm trying to conserve my battery power, so I'll make it short. We can only stay here a few minutes. I'll quickly tell you what happened and then we'll go.
We arrived in Copenhagen three weeks ago. We soon found out that we were prisoners. We managed to escape, but we were followed. They have masks and guns - and they always know where we were. We are hidden in an industrial area.
I am sick and now Liza is even more sick! Somehow, the sound from the Oracle Machine makes us feel better. We are all alone and it is the only thing helping us. But the signal is so weak. Do you know how to make it stronger? Is there something you can do? I think it's our only hope. You wrote that you have a whole community there, online, trying to help. Maybe they can help you? The more the better.
And Axel. This is very important. Don't try to find us - at least not right now. I think that maybe the scary guys are using your website to track us. So right now: DON'T TRY TO FIND US."

Owning a Hummer is a defence of the frontier lifestyle??!!!

September 24th, 2009

This one really got me angry: Environmental News Network has posted a an article in which Hummer owners claim that owning this CO2-farting monster is actually a way of defending their all-american frontier lifestyle. So basically: if you're against Hummers you're anti-american ... well, colour me anti-american, then.

Something is wrong!

The site I was working on, The Climate Mystery has gone completely mad. I don't know what is happening, but the four people who were going to join us has disappeared. I have no control over the website - everything has gone haywire.

Presenting: The Climate Mystery

September 7th, 2009

Finally I can reveal something about this very secretive project I've been working on. Next week The Climate Mystery will open. This is going to be great. Four young people from different places in the world will come to Copenhagen, and they will be until december 7th - 4 months from now.

"The Professor"

August 31st, 2009

I have received another mail from The Professor and it all sounds very, very exciting. For now all that I can tell you is that it involves a website, which is looking really spiffy and that it has to do with Climate. The Professor has told me that I can start talking about this a week before launch ... so that will be september 7th. I'll keep you posted.

Still working on the Hush-Hush project

August 24th, 2009

I'm still working on that very secret project I'm not supposed to talk about. And I know you're really, really curios about the project :-) Anyway, I'm excited. I just received a mail from The Professor describing the infrastructure of "the thing": it's very ambitious, I can tell you that much.

In Memoriam, Niuafo'ou, Island Of Tonga

August 23rd, 2009

There are places you should visit before you die, or so they say. If you plan to, you might want to bump up Niuafo'ou island in Tonga to the top of your list. Because it's about to disappear.

Due to the rising sea levels brought on by climate change, Niuafo'ou is about to become a mountain top beneath the ocean.

Think about that when you drive your Porsche Cayenne to work tomorrow.

The Ocean Formerly Known As Polar Bear Country

August 17th, 2009

Polar bears (Ursus Maritimus) used to love western Hudson Bay. Now western Hudson Bay is about to be an ocean, mainly. Due to global warming.

A Very Secretive Project

July 19th, 2009

I have received a mail from "The Professor" - that is all I know about him. He wants me to be leading a very exciting project, which I can't talk about. I think the most exciting thing about it is that it is so secretive. I'll keep you posted as I go along.
